Musical of the Week!

Every week I’m going to try to make a musical of my recommendation or musical of the week!  This week’s musical is Les Miserables!

This best selling book has been turned into a musical and since the book is SUPER difficult to understand, that’s a good thing! This musical tells the tragic story of of a freed prisoner (Jean Valjean) who steals some silver from a church to restart his life. Javert ( an officer) vows to find him. Several years later, Valjean now becomes the parent of an orphan girl named Cosette.  With the French Revolution still raging around them, trouble arises. This tragic story of loss and love is a great book and an astounding musical and I highly recommend it!

Musical of the Week!

Musicals are a great way to relax and enjoy yourself. Musicals have been around for a while, but here are some of my favorites!

  • Wicked : Wicked is a great musical! It tells the amazing story of the misunderstood Wicked Witch of the West. Elphaba, the wicked witch, teams up with a girl named Glinda ,the good witch of the North. Both girls were studying magic and Elphaba dreams of meeting  the Wizard. This musical is full of laughs and feeeeeeeeels and I definitely recommend it! 🙂

The “fascinating” debate on pianos

Okay this blog might not be the most exciting but in this blog we don’t worry about real struggles like politics or world hunger. No, we concentrate on if a piano is a string or a percussion instrument.  Instead of solving real world problems, we solve first world problems  A+.  I give props to the person who made this first harpsichord. For you people who don’t know what a harpsichord is it looks like this : HARPSICHORDIt’s basically a baby organ and these eventually formed into pianos. Anyway if you made a instrument that had people rage debating on if it’s percussion or a string instrument, you definitely done something right. Or horribly wrong if that wasn’t your intent. I personally think it’s a string and percussion as it has strings. But little tiny mallets hit the strings to make the sound, so it could be considered a percussion instrument as well. Tell me what you think!PIANO KEYS

To many instruments!

Do you know how many instruments I play? To many… Let’s count shall we?

  • Piano
  • Cello
  • Violin(albeit not that well) :p
  • French Horn
  • Mellophone
  • Trumpet
  • I also play a meeeeaaaan triangle. >:)

I mean honestly do you know how much music I have to memorize?! ALOT. XD

Anyway all rating aside, it’s kind of handy knowing all these instruments. I can transpose music for those who have instruments in a different key 🙂 Anwayyyyyy I just wanted to post something and I was bored.

Recomendations :)

Diviant Art is also a great place to see beautiful art and sometimes, even fanfiction. I highly recommend going to Pinterest and Deviant Art to see awesome art and photos!

Different forms of art :)

So this is my first “real” blog so I might as well make it worth while..

Okay, let’s talk about art. Art is open for interpretation actually. It can be anything you want it to be as well. When most people say “art” they think of a prestigious museum with fancy, expensive artwork. However, this is not always the case. Although that kind of art is art, anything can really be considered art. Art comes in all different forms too! Art can be music, photography, musicals, plays, paintings, calligraphy, poetry, design, woodwork, metalwork, sketches, books, and sculpture. Of course there’s many more but there are too many to count! When it comes to art, anything goes! And the good thing about art is; you don’t have to be experienced! I draw and paint and make music all the time but I’m no professional! Anybody can really be an artist. If you think I missed any form of art to you or you want to share what kind of art you do, tell me in the comment section below!

Some of my favorite prints and pictures are on this website!
